NewayAero uses aerospace-grade Nimonic 80A powder with strict purity and particle size control. During the SLM printing process, laser power, scanning strategy and layer thickness are continuously monitored to achieve uniform melt pools and prevent hot cracking or distortion.
Printed parts undergo hot isostatic pressing (HIP) to eliminate internal porosity and increase fatigue resistance. Subsequent heat treatment optimizes γ′ precipitation and enhances creep and tensile strength for high-temperature applications.
Critical surfaces—such as sealing faces, mounting areas and cooling features—are finished using EDM or CNC machining. This ensures dimensional accuracy and removes any recast layer or surface roughness caused during printing.
NewayAero applies comprehensive material testing and analysis, including CT scanning, metallography and fatigue assessment. Each component is documented for traceability and certification—particularly for applications in aerospace and aviation and power generation sectors.
