High Strength-to-Weight Ratio

Ti6.5Al1Mo1V2Zr (TA15) offers an excellent balance of strength and density, making it ideal for lightweight structural components. Through SLM 3D printing, complex load-bearing parts can be produced with reduced mass while maintaining mechanical reliability—especially valuable in aerospace and aviation applications.

Good Thermal and Fatigue Resistance

The alloy maintains strength and fatigue resistance under high thermal stress, making it suitable for hot structural components, brackets and pressurized housings. SLM’s fine microstructure further improves thermal stability and fatigue life compared to conventionally machined TA15 components.

Formability for Complex Geometries

SLM allows Ti6.5Al1Mo1V2Zr to be shaped into intricate geometries with internal channels, lattice structures and near-net-shape features that are not feasible with traditional forging or casting. This makes it highly suitable for performance-critical components in power systems and engine assemblies.

Post-Processing and Performance Enhancement

After SLM printing, the alloy responds well to hot isostatic pressing (HIP) and heat treatment to optimize microstructure and enhance durability. Precision machining via CNC machining refines tolerance-critical features for final functional requirements.
