NewayAero uses aerospace-grade Ti6.5Al1Mo1V2Zr powder with strict control over particle size, purity and flowability. During the SLM process, parameters such as laser energy, scanning strategy and layer thickness are continuously monitored to prevent defects like balling, cracking or incomplete fusion.
To achieve full density and mechanical reliability, printed components undergo hot isostatic pressing (HIP) followed by customized heat treatment. These steps enhance phase stability, eliminate porosity and improve fatigue life—crucial for aerospace and high-pressure applications.
Critical features—such as mounting points, sealing faces and flow channels—are refined via CNC machining or EDM. This ensures consistent tolerances and eliminates surface irregularities, meeting aerospace-grade design specifications.
Each component is validated using nondestructive inspection and full material testing and analysis. Methods such as CT scanning, metallography and fatigue testing confirm structural integrity before deployment in aerospace and power generation systems.
